This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies specifically to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). If you are a California resident, this notice describes your additional privacy rights and how to exercise them.
You may request disclosure of the personal information we have collected about you and how it is used.
You may request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information to third parties.
You may limit our use of sensitive personal information to necessary purposes.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
Tunely does not collect personal information from users. We do not operate servers that receive data from the app. All processing occurs locally on your device.
The following table describes the categories of information that may be processed in connection with Tunely:
| Category | Collected by Tunely | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers (name, email, device ID) | No | We collect none. AdMob may collect advertising ID. |
| Audio data | No | Processed locally for pitch detection only. Never stored or transmitted. |
| Commercial information | No | Purchase processing handled entirely by Google Play. |
| Internet or network activity | No | AdMob may collect IP address for ad serving. |
| Geolocation data | No | We never request location permissions. |
| Inferences / profiles | No | We build no user profiles. |
| Analytics / usage data | Yes (anonymized) | Firebase Analytics collects aggregated app usage events. Not linked to personal identity. |
We do not sell your personal information. We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to improve the app. We use Google AdMob for advertising. Both services are operated by Google and governed by Google's privacy practices.
Tunely requests microphone access solely to perform real-time pitch detection. Audio is classified as sensitive personal information under CPRA. We use this data for no purpose other than the pitch detection feature you actively invoke, and it is never stored, transmitted, or shared. We do not use audio data to infer characteristics about you or for any secondary purpose.
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no retention period applicable to our systems. App data you create (custom chords, progressions, settings) is stored locally on your device indefinitely until you clear app data or uninstall the application.
To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days as required by law. Because we do not collect personal information, most requests will result in confirmation that we hold no data about you.
To manage advertising preferences, use your Android device's built-in controls: Settings → Google → Ads.
You may also use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, provided they present verifiable written authorization.
We do not sell or share personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA. No opt-out mechanism is required because no such sale or sharing occurs. If our practices change, we will update this notice and provide an opt-out mechanism before doing so.
